It’s good not having to wake up at the buttcrack of dawn to go to school today…after all, it is summer. And a very wet one at that. In fact, we have had 51 inches of rain this year already…yes 51 inches as in 4′3″…we’re currently 17 inches over the average. A note for all you who groom dogs: when shaving dogs, the object is to shorten the hair (and only the hair) to whatever length the clippers are. For instance, using a clipper with 1/4″ cut should result in a dog with hair that is 1/4″ long…not 3″. So, after my stepdad telling me that he “shaved” a few dogs last week, i spent my morning re-shaving them all to an actually short length…all four of them. Not too bad, though. We’re trying to go to the pool today as soon as the sun comes out (i need to work on my Rotissere Christopher), but it seems to be playing hide-and-go-seek.
