Fall Break

Alright, so my midterms are finally over. Can you believe that my German instructor actually made us stay after the midterm and have class? And, when i decided to sleep for the 20 minutes between finishing the test and starting class, she told me i shouldn't do that. Glad i won't be having her next semester for my independent study. Now, onto to better things.
My girlfriend, who almost didn't make it Tuesday night because Cincinatti was having a “bad storm” and had to close its airport. In comparison, we had a tropical storm blow through last week and the airport stayed open the entire time. Wimpy Northerners (i may be wrong here). So, her first flight was delayed forever. Delta finally instead sent her to Atlanta where she was able to catch the connection to New Orleans. That night, she kept me up to 3 in the morning.
Yesterday, i spent most of my day at school (still no car :( ), but spent the evening and night with my girlfriend. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean (first time for me)…well, i watched the movie. She slept next to me. After the movie, i woker her up, and kept her up to 3 in the morning. Also, she was assailed by meeting my immediate family, my aunt, my cousin, my mother's Bible study group, my mother's friend (and her newly adopted baby from the Ukraine)…mostly without me.
Today, we almost slept in and would have if i didn't have that German midterm today. Tonight, we're going out somewhere. My friends that still work at Chili's want me to swing by there tonight (ran into some of them today) and show off my wonderful girlfriend they had heard so much about. So, we'll probably do that.
Tomorrow, we are going down to the French Quarter (Bourbon Street is a distinct possibility for the daytime hours). We might hit the Riverwalk while we are out there.
Saturday will be the fun excursion that she doesn't know about yet…
To me, everything (with her) is going wonderful, whereas everything else (my parents) is going mediocre (at best).
