i ran into another really cool site:

http://en.wikisource.org/

For my friend Jeff, they even have G.K.

Hey now!

So, i’m sitting here thinking…”i haven’t updated things in a while…”
So, here it is: the update:

Since my last serious post, i’ve run through two jobs. One was being a canvasser for Save The Children. After three days of not making much money, disliking the constant “Do you have a minute for Save The Children” and repitition of the sales pitch, i gave up on that. Then, i had a three day stint as a phone fundraiser for a police fraternity. It had better money, but the repitition of “Yes, this is Christopher with (company name to remain anonymous), calling on behalf of the (police frat) located at (address of frat). How are you doing today?” during most people’s dinnertime and bedtime with a resounding click as they hung up.

After that, i started the application process to substitute teach here. i’ve passed all the tests and now am waiting for the background check to finish.

My fiancee loves me so much, even though it’s been pretty hard…only 40 days left :(
There’s only five weeks left of school…and it’s Spring Break this week. i have to catch up reading my philosophy book…which brings another story: During the first half of the semester, our teacher cancelled so many classes that we were over a week behind in the material and what we have done was very poorly and quickly done. So, two weeks ago, the chair (of the department, not the one he sits in) came to him after class to “discuss” something. The next day, the chair is in the class and says “Your professor is on leave for the rest of the semester. I’m taking over the class.” So, he expected us to jump up 100 pages to where we’re supposed to be, found out that we’re nowhere near there and has spent the last two weeks playing catch-up. And that has lead to me needing to catch up in the reading.

In my other classes, things are going swimmingly. Linguistics is really fun. Shakespeare’s really easy. And Physics lab is deplorably quick. My independent study’s going better now that i have the book. i’m on the fourth page of the book…which may not sound like much, but translating takes a long time to do…especially when it’s philosophy text. My teacher wants me to do around 15 pages, so this week will be time to get there and hopefully finish it off.

Lastly, in less than four months, i will be a married man. Oh yeah!
Oh, and i still haven’t heard back from grad schools yet. The anticipation is killing me!
