i am so utterly frustrated right now. After sending my application to Denver in February, i thought everything was over and i’d receive confirmation soon enough. Well, on March 4, i received a letter saying that everything was received and my application was sent over to the department. OK, application process is over for me. Well, after three weeks of not hearing anything, i started calling. It took me nearly **three** weeks to get in touch with them calling during normal department hours (1 pm, 2 pm their time zone). Today, i got in touch with the department…got the chairman. Asked him about my application. His response: “i haven’t seen that application”!!!!! i am so pissed right now, i could chew out somebody for this screw up. He goes on to tell me that they’re currently finishing up granting all financial aid! So, here we are April 8, i am just finding out that (1) Somehow the university lost my application while transferring it between the Office of Graduate Admissions and the Department of Religious Studies, (2) The department is almost finished giving out financial aid, (3) the department has finished accepting applications for the Fall. The chair said that he’d look for my application, but he’s not sure whether or not there’s enough space/aid left. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
