Soon

In just 9 days, i will be in Philadelphia to see the one i love and marry her.  i am getting really excited and anxious as the day gets closer.

Anxiety

Still no word yet from Google… GRR!  There’s only seven hours left in the day.  They are being cruel by not telling!

Code Deadline

Tomorrow’s the deadline for hearing yea or nay about Google’s Summer of Code. They’ve doubled the number of applications being accepted (to 400). Let’s hope that one of my two applications make it (as i’m out of 4000 applicants/5700 applications). Since a peson can only have one application accepted, that gives me a 10% chance. 10% was good enough for God in the OT, let’s hope that it’s good enough for me. My two applications deal with a blogging system for Mambo and with continued development of my CMS.

Contacts

Last week, i got contacts for the first time in my life.  People who’ve had them for a while (Mandie, Erin, my stepdad) all make them look soo easy to put in.  i’ll have you know that my average this weekend for putting them in was 50 minutes. Now that i’m beginning to be able to tell which way is “backwards” and which aren’t (see the fishbowl?) , i got it down to 20.  Woohoo!  Hopefully, i’ll get it down to 5 by the wedding, or we may be delayed!
On another good note, there’s 27 days until the wedding.  Also, my dad’s brother is coming to the wedding (something nobody expected!) with at least one of his daughters (sorry guys, she’s only 13) and maybe the other as well.

The Key

clock key
You actually don’t unlock anything; you’re the
winding key for an old grandfather clock. Few
people know how important you are unless you
aren’t there, but there are a few who treasure
you all the time. You help people keep moving
forward, but you also help them through the
present by reminding them of the past.

What sort of key are you and what do you unlock?
