This is amazingly funny to me. i’ve been a member of a fairly fundamentalist/Calvinist forum for a few months now (being nearly the only person on the board who is neither of the two, nor their opposites of liberal/Arminian) and having fun stirring the pot in some interesting discussion. Well, this weekend Richard Abanes (the guy who wrote the deplorable book “Harry Potter and the Bible” and argued why Harry Potter was evil, but LoTR wasn’t because of magic) joined this forum. So, he’s been upset with most of the threads on the forum that are anti-Rick Warren (and the entire Purpose Driven movement). In one thread, he called someone a liar and told them God was watching. So, in response, the person quoted an article a few years back that stated Abanes was a plaigarist (and that God was indeed watching). It’s a wonderful cat fight to watch.

As Amarok 2 gets closer to a release, it is looking better and better. There’s a new feature in the works that will give Pandora a good fight: music biases.

Today, two great things (according to me, at least) have been released: Firefox 3 and Wine 1.0. Nearly everybody should know what Firefox is, however many probably don’t know about Wine. It is an Open Source project that works as an abstraction layer so Linux (and other POSIX) users can run Windows programs (such as Photoshop) on Linux without needing to have Windows installed.
