Went to the thrift store today and got Plato’s Symposium and Rosseau’s Social Contract for $4 total. i was going to get Plato’s Republic and Aristotle’s Politics, but they were each well over the cover price. Who (other than this thrift store) mark the price of a used paperback above cover price?
In other news, we got all of our Christmas decorations down (the cat can no longer use the tree as its personal play place) and packed away, as well as organized a handful of things. We also got our carpet cleaned, so no more stains (except in the one room that wasn’t cleaned). i also got some of my poster maps on the wall and my dry erase board up. i also assembled the four chairs we got over Thanksgiving break only to discover that Ikea shorted us a bolt, a nut, and a rubber stopper, so only three are currently usable.
Lastly, i finally got a new CD (it’s been about two years) and am listening to it.
