i’m finally finished ripping all of my cds into flac on my hard drive. Total size: 48.3 Gb. Yes, gigabytes. That wound up being about 200 CDs in total, but including some sampler CDs (of which i’ll remove the tracks i have from the full CDs by the artist) and a few mp3s i downloaded. Now, since Amarok is super cool, i can attach cover images for all of the music. i’ve already properly labelled all mp3s and relabelled a few of my ripped CDs (mainly because CDDB likes to label mutli disc albums as separate albums) to have a grand total of music from 258 albums. Of those, only 32 are not found on amazon.com, which means i’ll have to hunt down the covers and manually add them. Also, it seems i am missing one CD (which i really wanted to rip): Jimmy Buffett’s Songs You Know By Heart.
