i’m a geek. i now prefer to transfer files to my server using scp from the shell prompt instead of a graphical ftp program.

    Nice, scp is very good. However for lots of large file moving, sftp is even better.

    Is that KDE underneath?

    I’ve been using only SCP lately too. I really should set up an FTP service.
