Chris,
Hey man. I found your blog link through your profile at <a href="http://theclaycomunities.net" rel="nofollow">theclaycommunities.net</a>. Good to see that we have another blogger.
I'd love to get together and grab lunch or something soon. I'd like to discus your degree and theology and the likes!
Let me know.

Dawkins was merely demonstrating that religious propositions tend to be mutually exclusive; propositions whose truth values are statistically attributable to cultural heritage.

On the people, it's being organized by the university where John Milbank is employed (Univ of Nottingham, UK). I'm familiar with Agamben, Hauerwas (Duke), van Inwagen (Notre Dame), Milbank, Zizek. I've heard mention of some of the others, but have not read any of their works.
Universalism is meant in the sense of ecumenism, the universal Church as opposed to the church down the road.

I only recognize Zizek and Hauerwas. Does 'Universalism' mean what I think it does or is it something different in this sense? As in Universal Unitarianism? Coexist? Embrace all faiths?

The reason I asked is I wonder if requiring Javascript is a bother for some users. Are there some times you don't post because it's not worth changing your javascript settings?

Also, I reveal my salt scheme over at my blog, in response to your post.

On my website, I use client-side javascript to md5 your password salt so I'm not transmitting it in plain text. Would you turn Javascript back on just to be able to log in to my site?

Long paragraphs are evil. Why can't you have an introduction that's 3 paragraphs.

I recently heard a small part of Mr Dawkins Beatty lecture (Queerer than We Suppose: The Strangeness of Science).
I was facinated that someone who brandishes alternate realities to deal with why evolution gave birds wings, doesn't see that murderers have their own to deal with.
Evolution hasn't taken us far enough yet, to have displaced arrogance and bigotry. Or was the message that survival requires arrogance and bigotry?
I am happy with my reality that lets we discard Mr Dawkins as lost in his own.
